Click Here to Register   (It’s free–but we just want to get an idea how many people to expect!)    We’ll have random prizes for registered runners!

You can start later if you like, and the course will be supported until 12:00.

Please join Team World Vision and our Marathon Staff for the official University of Michigan Health – West Grand Rapids Marathon 10 & 20 Mile Training Run. The course will preview a portion of the actual Marathon route as well as some beautiful parts of Millennium Park.  Aid Stations with water and Gatorade will be available every 2 or 3 miles. There will be accessible bathrooms at mile 3 & 17 (Kent County Parks Trailhead). No registration fee–but SIGN UP so we get an idea how many to expect.

Event details:

Saturday, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 – 7:00 am at the David D. Hunting YMCA

Restrooms are available at the start and finish line (at the Y), at about 3 miles (Trailhead) and half way point. You will also find an aid station every 2-3 miles. Water and Gatorade on the course, maybe a surprise or two. But if you have special nutrition needs, bring it with you.

Aid Stations hosted by Team World Vision, RunGR Running Club, Hope Water International

Here’s the course:

We start at the YMCA! This will all be marked with chalk at the corners. Roads will be open, but most of the time we won’t be on them–we’ll be on paved bike paths.

The event starts at 7:00 am and ends at 12pm (there is a 5 hour time limit–but we won’t leave anyone stuck out there.)

Please note that the course will not be closed. Please make sure to practice proper runner safety.
